I'm one of those people who's always cold and always wears three pairs of socks, so the idea of a warm tiled floor has always been on my mind. Now, all underfloor heating systems are fairly easy to install, but you will find that some require additional steps and there is a wide variation in the prices of these different kits. While the project was a success and the kit wasn't too difficult to use, all the extra supplies we ended up needing and all that cement we needed to fill all that square footage was consumed the money we saved by using this kit instead. really really super duper easy kit. we're doing another heated floor, that's definitely the style we're going to go with. To prepare for "cement day", we prepped the room making sure the cement would only flow where we wanted it when we poured it into place. We got through it all eventually, thankfully, but all the while we wondered if the drill would just die and leave us with half a floor, or explode in our faces. At this point we knew full well that if we picked the right kit we wouldn't be dealing with all this cement problem at all so after the drill that almost exploded the mess and now the exposed wires that were supposed to being protected by this cement, we were not happy campers. When everything is completely dry, you just need to remove the whole clip and the little lip stays in place under the tiles.

In case of tiling directly on the underfloor heating, it is advisable to use a notched plastic trowel. If you are installing screed over underfloor heating, it is important to use buckets of screed rather than running wheelbarrows of screed over the heated area. When it comes time to install your underfloor heating controller, a licensed electrician should be used.
